A new VR puzzle game from Stitch Media and Silverstring Media is hitting the Quest Store this week.
The mysterious new narrative puzzler - advertised as a narrative escape room game - is hitting the Quest Store later this week, finally releasing on the 11th of March.
Looking for a new VR puzzle game to keep your attention this month?
Stitch Media and Silverstring Media may have the answer: their highly anticipated new "narrative escape room game" Flow Weaver is hitting the Oculus Store this week, on the 11th of March. It'll be available on Rift and Quest, with no word of ports to other consoles anytime soon.
In Flow Weaver you play a girl who wakes up alone in a strange room, voiced by Borderland 3's Ciarán Strange. "Bound by magic by unknown captors", you discover that you are a 'Flow Weaver', an inter-dimensional traveller who can cast spells to manipulate the world around them.
As the 'Flow Weaver', you need to develop your sorcery skills and move between different dimensions with different features, environments and physics systems. Using the different "Flows" you discover, you will need to take advantage of their differences to solve puzzles, overcome obstacles and discover how to escape your mystical captivity.
Best of all, the game is designed and optimised for seated play. This means that players can unravel the mysteries of Flow Weaver for extended sessions - perfect for the final few months of extreme COVID quarantine... if you're lucky.
Unfortunately, it seems like Flow Weaver is going to remain an Oculus exclusive for the time being. Although there is a SteamVR listing for the title, that notes the fame "requires the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset." That being said, if there's a Steam listing, it may not stay that way forever.
But if you're looking to get to grips with the world of Flow Weaver, you could try out the 5e Tabletop RPG Adventure which explores the game's lore. Try it out here.
Don't feel left out if you're a PS VR player, though. I've got some good news for you too - DOOM3: VR Edition is heading to PS VR later this month!
