Is there something about early 2021 and silly concepts, wacky graphics and zany gameplay? Only a few weeks after the announcement of Happy Giant's Sam & Max: This Time It's Virtual and the release of Turbo Button's elevator-based VR escape room Floor Plan 2, we have another... interesting... premise to keep us all engaged.
The only difference is, this time we're taking the role of... a traffic officer?
Traffic Jams is a wacky VR action/arcade game developed by Little Chicken Game Company and published by Arizona Sunshine developer Vertigo Games. The game launched last Thursday for SteamVR and Oculus Quest & Rift (with cross-buy support).
In the game, you step into the shoes of a rookie traffic office who hits it big when, mysteriously, all of the world's traffic lights go out at once. As you start to prove your worth, you'll start reaping job offers from all around the world, traveling to every corner of the globe to test your mettle.
The game also features a 5 player 'party mode': where you and your 4 non-VR friends can battle it out in a crazy asymmetric party mode.
Best of all, to celebrate the launch of the zany VR game, Vertigo Games have instated a 10% discount code for one week only. That means there's just over a day to go before it runs out, so you better be quick!
If you're still on the fence about whether or not to splash out on Traffic Jams, you won't have long to wait for VRFinal's official verdict: our review of Little Chicken Game Company's Traffic Jams will drop tomorrow.
If you're not a SteamVR player, the game is also available for Oculus Quest & Oculus Rift. Just as well the newest software update for the Oculus Quest 2 is set to add some crazy new features, including Wireless Streaming, 'Infinite Office' and, finally, 120Hz refresh rates!
