The Wizards: Dark Times Oculus Quest Port Releasing Next Week

The Oculus Quest port of Carbon Studio's 'The Wizards - Dark Times', the critically acclaimed sequel to their fantasy adventure, will launch next week on Thursday, May 6th 2021.

The long-awaited Oculus Quest port to Carbon Studio's critically acclaimed fantasy adventure game The Wizards - Dark Times is finally releasing next week, the developer has announced.

Dark Times is the sequel to the first The Wizards, a "VR spellcaster" where players set out on an adventure in a vast and rich fantasy world. You step into the shoes of a powerful sorcerer, casting tomes and spells through immersive, gesture-based gameplay.

When it released back in 2017, The Wizards was received with rapturous praise. The sequel, Dark Times, was released early last year - to similar praise.

In Dark Times, you once again set out on an adventure into a dense fantasy world. A mysterious plague has cast a shadow over the realm of Meliora, transforming vast swathes of its inhabitants into cruel and twisted mindless monsters.

Like in the original The Wizards, players use hand gestures to conjure weapons and companions to fight alongside you, helping you to take on the monstrous hordes. Best of all, a co-op mode is slated to release sometime after we get our hands on the Oculus Quest port.

The Wizards - Dark Times, the critically acclaimed sequel to their fantasy adventure VR spellcaster, is slated to release next week, on Thursday the 6th of May 2021.

It has already been added to the 'Coming Soon' section of the Oculus Store, so you can add it to your Wishlist. Otherwise, The Wizards - Dark Times is available now for PC VR platforms through the SteamVR platform. You can find out more about the game here.

If you haven't seen the big story today, you've missed a doozy. It is official: MULTIPLE HTC Vive VR Headsets will be announced at next month's VIVECON 2021 event!
