Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge VR set for November release
It's been a great year for Star Wars VR games, with Star Wars: Squadrons arriving last month and Star Wars: Vader Immortal VR hitting PS VR the month before.
But ILMxLAB aren't done yet. Today, in an Oculus blog post, the company announced that Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy's Edge will release exclusively on Oculus Quest next month.
The experience "takes place on the outskirts of Black Spire Outpost on the planet of Batuu, as depicted in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland Resort in California and Disney World Resort in Florida," according to the post. Players will take on the role of a droid repair technician who survives a pirate attack, a crash landing on Batuu and a chance in encounter with a Star Wars legend
That's right. In the trailer, we saw a few Kowakian Monkey-Lizards, Jabba's famous TT-8L/Y7 gatekeeper droid and, of course, a couple Porgs!
Just kidding. The trailer gave us a further glimpse at Star Wars legends C-3PO, R2-D2 and Master Yoda - all of whom will feature in the VR experience. Frank Oz, Yoda's original puppeteer and voice actor is set to reprise his role in the project alongside Anthony Daniels, the famous voice of C-3PO.
