Monologic, the developer behind the highly-anticipated Ven VR, has announced that the game is set to launch for the Oculus Rift on the 17th of December.
Monologic Games have announced that Ven VR Adventure will be arriving for the Oculus Rift next month, with the Quest version coming Q1/Q2 of next year.
Monologic, the Polish independent studio, announced the 3D platformer earlier this year and originally pegged the game for a Summer 2020 release. But it's 2020, after all, so are we really surprised that didn't work out?
Ven VR Adventure is a single-player VR platformer, built for virtual reality from the ground up. It looks fantastic, with a graphics style on par with most other modern platformers.
The game puts you in partnership with Ven, a little cat guy on a mission to save his planet Runnies from the grips of the evil "Bruce Nelson". Throughout the game, you'll stop and chat to Ven, getting to know him as you guide him through perilous environments and epic battles.
The game features collectables, puzzles and environmental interaction, too. It seems to take a lot of inspiration from titles like Lucky's Tale, Ghost Giant and Moss, and looks just as good!
There's been no update on the Steam VR release, but go ahead and add it your wishlist low! The same goes for PSVR, so it'll be a case of wait and see. Most importantly, though, Monologic has confirmed that cross-buy support will be included, so that frees up your buying options.
If you didn't get a chance to check out the open beta, I'd certainly recommend giving this one a go!
In the meantime, check out Oculus' free giveaway of Asgard's Wrath, now extended to early adopters of the Quest 2.
