Last month, we discussed the excitement around Jon Favreau’s long-anticipated ‘Gnomes & Goblins’ at this years Venice VR. Now, almost four years after the short Gnomes and Goblins Preview was published on Steam, developer Wevr has announced the experience is finally coming to PC VR later this month.
A lot of the game’s hype comes from the fact that it is the brainchild of Iron Man legend Jon Favreau and directed by renowned VR director Jake Rowell. Produced by Wevr in collaboration with WMW and Golem Creations, the description of the official trailer on serves to further the hype. “Embark on a dream-like journey in this fantasy adventure VR simulation,” it reads. “Encounter goblin inhabitants, become part of their society, and save them from their foe. Freely roam the enchanted forest to discover the deepest layers of their mysterious ways and reap the rewards of this magical world.”
John Favreau’s Gnomes & Goblins is set to release to PC VR on the 23rd of September, five years after production first began. It will be available on Steam, the Oculus Store for Rift and Viveport. Needless to say, I can’t wait.
