Beat Saber OST 4 Dropping This Week For Free: 'Metal-ish' Guitars and Synths

Beat Games revealed that the next 'Original Soundtrack DLC' - known to fans as OST4 - will drop later this week, on Thursday the 18th.

The Beat Saber OST4 pack is said to feature 'Metal-ish' guitars and synthetic guitar sounds; something of a departure from the previous EDM-centred packs.

Beat Games revealed that the next 'Original Soundtrack DLC' - known to fans as OST4 - will drop later this week, on Thursday the 18th. It'll be available for free, feature a wider array of music, and may even feature a brand new environment.

In a behind-the-scenes livestream late last year, Beat Games Head of Music (and former CEO) Jaroslav Beck dropped some details about the upcoming sound pack:

“The theme of OST 4 should be guitars and synthetic guitars because it feels like we have a lot of electronic music in the game, a lot of music packs from different music styles. But really there isn’t anything kind of metal-ish and I thought that some of you may like this. For me it’s a big challenge because I always wanted to do a metal song.”

So, there we have it. Beat Saber OST4 will be centred around "metal-ish" guitars and synthetic guitar sounds, something of a departure from previous OST packs. But it'll be refreshing to rock out to some other styles as I'm getting my minutes in. Yeah, I really just wrote that.

In fact, a follow-up Tweet from the official Beat Saber account teased a new environment available with the pack.
